Employer Specific Work Permit
An employer-specific work permit lets you work in Canada according to the conditions on your work permit, such as the name of the specific employer you can work for how long you can work the location where you can work (if applicable). Before you apply for an employer-specific work permit, your employer must give you a copy of your employment contract

Work Permit without the LMIA
This employer specific work permit allows you work in Canada without the Labour Market Impact Application by your employer. Your employer needs to generate the LMIA exempt permit number through their online portal after paying the fee.
Post Graduate Work Permit
As of November 1, 2024, eligibility criteria will be dependent on when the student submitted their study permit application and when they applied for their PGWP, with the exception of flight school graduates whose criteria remain unchanged. The changes vary based on level of study and include language proficiency requirements and, in some cases, requirements based on field of study.
Work without a work permit
As per the Immigration Refugee Protection Regulations certain categories or temporary foreign nationals do not require work permit in order to perform work in Canada. The following are the categories can work without having work permits issued from IRCC.
International Experience Class (IEC)
There are 3 possible categories of participation through bilateral agreements and arrangements under the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program:
Working Holiday
Participants are eligible to apply for an open work permit that will allow them to work for any employer at any location in Canada to subsidize their stay as they travel and discover the country.
Young Professionals
Participants are eligible to apply for an employer based that will help them gain professional work experience in Canada.
International Co-op (Internship)
Participants are eligible to apply for an employer based that will help them gain experience in their field of study.
Work Permit with “Letter of Introduction” (LOI)
Vulnerable Open Work Permit
Migrant workers in Canada on valid employer-specific work permits who are experiencing abuse, or who are at risk of abuse, in the context of their employment in Canada may be eligible to receive an open work permit
Who is eligible for Vulnerable Open Work Permit
Migrant workers in Canada on valid employer-specific work permits who are experiencing abuse, or who are at risk of abuse, in the context of their employment in Canada may be eligible to receive an open work permit that is exempt from the labour market impact assessment (LMIA) requirement
