New Brunswick Express Entry Stream:

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is linked to the federal Express Entry system and selects highly skilled workers who intend to settle permanently in New Brunswick and contribute to the province’s labour market and economic development. Eligibility falls under two pathways:

Deepanshu Deepanshu

Employment in New Brunswick Pathway

  • Full-time employment in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupation.

  • At least 12 months of recent full-time work experience in one or more eligible jobs with New Brunswick employers.

  • Must have lived continuously in the province for the past 12 months.

New Brunswick Interest Pathway

  • Must have received a Letter of Interest (LOI) through the federal Express Entry profile from the Government of New Brunswick.

Important: Invitations are issued selectively, based on provincial labour market needs and government priorities.

New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream:

The Skilled Worker Stream is designed for individuals with the skills, education, and work experience needed to contribute to New Brunswick’s labour market. Applicants may qualify under one of three pathways:

New Brunswick Experience Pathway

  • Full-time, year-round employment with a New Brunswick employer

  • Minimum 6 months of continuous full-time work with the same employer

  • Must have resided in New Brunswick during that period

New Brunswick Graduates Pathway

  • Completed a qualifying program at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in New Brunswick

  • Hold or be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)

  • Full-time job or valid job offer from a New Brunswick employer

New Brunswick Priority Occupations Pathway

  • Full-time, permanent job offer from a New Brunswick employer obtained through a provincial recruitment initiative

  • Job must fall under an eligible priority NOC code

  • At least 1 year of paid work experience in the same occupation

Critical Worker Pilot

New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot is an employer-driven program created to address labour shortages across the province. Skilled workers are recruited through designated employers, and applications can only be submitted via these employers — not directly by candidates. Applications can only be submitted through designated employers, not directly by candidates.

Designated Employers:

  • Cooke Aquaculture

  • J.D. Irving Ltd.

  • Groupe Savoie

  • Groupe Westco

  • Imperial Manufacturing Group

  • McCain Foods Ltd.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Valid, permanent full-time job offer from a designated New Brunswick employer

  • Must satisfy both provincial and federal immigration requirements

  • Submit complete and accurate application documents in coordination with the employer

Business Immigration Stream

This stream is for experienced entrepreneurs who want to establish, operate, and actively manage a business in New Brunswick while living in the province permanently.

Key Requirements:

  • Age: 19–59 years

  • Language: Minimum CLB 4 in English or French

  • Minimum of a high school diploma

  • Net Worth: Legally acquired minimum net worth of CAD $500,000 ($300,000 CAD for farming applicants)

  • Minimum investment of CAD $150,000 in the business

  • Minimum 65/100 points on the province’s selection grid

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

Furthermore, New Brunswick also participates in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), which helps designated employers in Atlantic Canada recruit skilled foreign workers and international graduates.

Key Requirements:

  • Job offer from a designated Atlantic employer.

  • No Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) required.

  • Streamlined process leading to permanent residency.
