The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is a provincial immigration pathway that allows Manitoba to nominate skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs for Canadian permanent residence. Its goal is to attract newcomers who can meet the province’s labour market needs and contribute to its growing economy.
The Manitoba PNP offers three streams, each providing a pathway to immigrate to Manitoba and gain Canadian permanent residence.
Skilled Worker Stream
There are two pathways: Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) and Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO).
Skilled Worker in Manitoba
For foreign workers and international graduates already working and living in Manitoba, who have a long-term job offer from a Manitoba employer.
Eligibility Requirements:
International Skilled Worker Category
For highly-skilled workers in in-demand occupations in Saskatchewan without a job offer, meeting eligibility criteria.
International Skilled Worker Category: Saskatchewan Express Entry
For skilled workers in the federal Express Entry pool who want to live and work in Saskatchewan and meet sub-category requirements.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream is for skilled workers living outside Canada who have the education, work experience, and language skills to meet Manitoba’s labour market needs, and who can demonstrate a connection to the province through family, past education/work experience, or an Invitation to Apply.

For international students who graduated from recognized Manitoba institutions and wish to stay and work in the province.

Career Employment Pathway:
This pathway provides faster nomination for post-secondary students who graduate and find long-term employment in Manitoba in an in-demand occupation consistent with their training.

Graduate Internship Pathway:
This Pathway offers nomination for master’s and PhD graduates in Manitoba who complete internships supporting industry innovation.
Key Requirements:
International Student Entrepreneur Pilot (ISEP):
The International Student Entrepreneur Pilot enables recent Manitoba graduates to establish a business in the province and apply for Manitoba PNP nomination for permanent residence.
Completed a post-secondary program in Manitoba that lasted at least two years.
Manitoba Business Investor Stream
This stream is for people who want to start or buy a business in Manitoba. Two application pathways are available to applicants. This stream has two pathways:
Entrepreneur Pathway:
The Entrepreneur Pathway (EP) is for experienced business owners and senior managers who plan to move to Manitoba to establish, purchase, or partner in a business, with the goal of obtaining permanent residence.

Farm Investor Pathway:
The Farm Investor Pathway (FIP) is for individuals with proven farm business experience, sufficient available capital to invest, and who intend to establish and operate a farm operation in rural Manitoba.

Modern Community-Driven Immigration Initiative:
A pathway for skilled workers to immigrate to Modern, Manitoba, through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
