Yukon Provincial Nominee Program

Territories in Canada have different administrative structures compared to provinces. Nevertheless, the Yukon Territory does have its own immigration program called the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP).

The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is an immigration program designed to attract skilled workers, business entrepreneurs, and self-employed individuals to settle in the Yukon Territory of Canada. The program is operated by the Government of Yukon in partnership with the Government of Canada's Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

There are three streams under the Yukon Nominee Program:

Yukon Express Entry (YEE) Stream: This stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, which manages applications for three economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Candidates with an eligible Express Entry profile and a valid job offer in the Yukon may be nominated by the YNP for permanent residency.

Skilled Worker Stream: This stream is for foreign nationals who have a full-time job offer from a Yukon employer in an occupation classified as NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B. Applicants must demonstrate relevant education, work experience, language proficiency, and meet other eligibility criteria.

Critical Impact Worker Stream: This stream is for foreign nationals who have a full-time job offer from a Yukon employer in an occupation classified as NOC Skill Level C or D. Applicants must meet the requirements related to work experience, education, language proficiency, and settlement funds.

Applicants who are nominated through the YNP receive an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) if they are applying through the Express Entry system, which significantly increases their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.

To apply for the Yukon Nominee Program, individuals must follow a two-step process. First, they must apply to the Yukon government for a nomination certificate. If nominated, they can then apply to IRCC for permanent residency.

It's important to note that the Yukon Nominee Program has its own eligibility criteria, application process, and documentation requirements. It is recommended visiting the official website of the Government of Yukon or contacting us at for your immigration needs,
