Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is a provincial nominee program designed by the province of Saskatchewan in Canada to attract skilled foreign workers who want to settle and work in the province. The program is part of the Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and aims to meet the specific labor market and economic development needs of Saskatchewan.

The SINP offers several streams through which individuals can apply for provincial nomination:

1. International Skilled Worker Category: This category is for skilled workers who have experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan or have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. It consists of three sub-categories:



a. Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category: This sub-category is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates must be eligible for one of the federal economic programs and meet the specific criteria of the Saskatchewan Express Entry stream.


b. Occupations In-Demand Sub-Category: This sub-category is for skilled workers who have work experience in one of the occupations listed on the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan.


c. Saskatchewan Experience Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals who have already been working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit and have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.


2. Saskatchewan Experience Category: This category is designed for individuals who are already living and working in Saskatchewan. It consists of several sub-categories:


a. Existing Work Permit Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months on a valid work permit in an occupation that is considered skilled or semi-skilled.


b. Health Professionals Sub-Category: This sub-category is for health professionals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months as physicians, nurses, or other health professionals.


c. Hospitality Sector Pilot Project Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months in the hospitality sector in specific occupations.


d. Long Haul Truck Driver Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months as long-haul truck drivers.


3. Entrepreneur and Farm Category: This category is for individuals who want to establish, acquire, or partner in a business in Saskatchewan. It consists of two sub-categories:


a. Entrepreneur Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals who want to establish a new business in Saskatchewan or buy an existing business and actively participate in its management.


b. Farm Owner and Operator Sub-Category: This sub-category is for individuals with farming experience who have the intention and ability to purchase and operate a farm in Saskatchewan.


Each stream and sub-category of the SINP has specific eligibility criteria, which may include factors such as education, work experience, language proficiency, financial resources, and settlement funds.
