Here is an overview of the PEI Provincial Nominee Program:

1. Skilled Worker Stream:

The Skilled Worker Stream is intended for individuals with job offers in PEI who possess the skills and experience needed by local employers. This stream is further divided into two categories:

a. PEI Express Entry: This category is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, which manages applications for three economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

b. Labour Impact Category: This category targets individuals who have a valid job offer in PEI in a skilled occupation. It is further divided into three streams:

- Skilled Workers: For individuals with a job offer in a skilled occupation.

- Critical Workers: For individuals with a job offer in a semi-skilled occupation.

- International Graduates: For recent graduates from recognized accredited PEI institutions.

2. Business Impact Category:

The Business Impact Category is designed for individuals who wish to invest in and actively manage a business in PEI. It consists of two streams:

a. Work Permit Stream: For individuals who obtain a temporary work permit to establish and operate a business in PEI for a certain period before being nominated for permanent residency.

b. 100% Ownership Stream: For individuals who wish to own and operate a business in PEI with 100% ownership and operate a business in Prince Edward Island. Successful applicants initially receive a temporary work permit and are required to establish and operate their business for a specified period. After meeting the terms of the agreement, they may be nominated for permanent residency.

c. Corporate Stream: This stream is for individuals who wish to invest in and operate a company in Prince Edward Island. It is designed for individuals who have a minimum net worth of $600,000 CAD and are willing to make a $150,000 CAD investment in the province.

To be eligible for the PEI PNP, candidates generally need to meet certain criteria, which may include language proficiency, education, work experience, adaptability, and proof of sufficient settlement funds. The specific requirements can vary depending on the stream and category chosen.

If nominated by the PEI PNP, candidates can apply to the federal government for permanent residency. The final decision on permanent residency rests with the federal authorities, who assess medical, security, and other admissibility requirements.
