Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is an immigration program through which the province of Manitoba in Canada selects and nominates individuals who have the skills, qualifications, and work experience needed to contribute to the province's economy. Successful nominees can then apply for Canadian permanent residence through the federal government.
Here are the key features of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP):
1. Streams: The MPNP consists of several streams that target different categories of individuals. These streams include the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream, Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream, International Education Stream, Business Investor Stream, and Farm Investor Pathway.
2. Skilled Worker Overseas Stream: This stream is designed for skilled workers with a connection to Manitoba through previous education, work experience, or family ties. It has two pathways: the Manitoba Express Entry Pathway, which is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, and the Human Capital Pathway, which is for candidates who do not have an Express Entry profile.
3. Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream: This stream is for individuals who are currently working in Manitoba and have a permanent, full-time job offer from their employer. This stream aims to retain skilled workers who are already in Manitoba.
4. International Education Stream: This stream is tailored to international students who have completed their education in Manitoba and have been offered a permanent, full-time job by a Manitoba employer. It includes the Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the International Student Entrepreneur Pilot.
5. Business Investor Stream: This stream is for individuals who wish to invest in and actively manage or start a business in Manitoba. It has two pathways: the Entrepreneur Pathway for applicants with business ownership or senior management experience, and the Farm Investor Pathway for individuals interested in establishing or purchasing a farming operation in Manitoba.
6. Points-based system: The MPNP uses a points-based system to assess and rank candidates based on factors such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, adaptability, and connections to Manitoba. The highest-scoring candidates in each stream are invited to apply for provincial nomination.
7. Pathway to Permanent Residence: Once nominated by Manitoba, candidates can apply for permanent residence to the federal government through the Provincial Nominee Program stream. If the federal government approves the application, the candidate and their eligible family members can become permanent residents of Canada.
