Express Entry Program

Express Entry Overview:

Express Entry is an online system implemented by the Canadian government to manage applications for three main economic immigration programs:

1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Eligibility Criteria for Excpress Entry

The Express Entry system follows a two-step process:

1. Creating an Express Entry Profile: Eligible candidates create an online profile, providing information about their skills, work experience, education, language proficiency, and other relevant details. Based on the information provided, candidates are awarded points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The CRS score is determined by various factors such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, and other factors.

2. Receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA): The highest-ranking candidates in the Express Entry pool are issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in regular draws conducted by the government. Candidates with the highest CRS scores receive an ITA to apply for permanent residence.

Key Points:

1. Express Entry Pool: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for any of the three economic programs enter the Express Entry pool. Once in the pool, candidates are assigned a CRS score based on their profile information.

2. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS): The CRS is a points-based system used to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool. It assesses various factors, including age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and adaptability.

3. Regular Draws: Periodic draws are conducted by the Canadian government to select candidates with the highest CRS scores for issuing ITAs. The minimum CRS score required in each draw depends on the number of candidates and the labor market needs.

4. Invitations to Apply (ITA): Candidates who receive an ITA have the opportunity to apply for permanent residence within a specified time frame (usually 60 days). They must submit a complete application with supporting documents.

5. Processing Times: The government aims to process Express Entry applications within six months. However, actual processing times may vary depending on the individual case, completeness of the application, and other factors.

6. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs): Provincial and territorial governments in Canada have their own nomination programs aligned with Express Entry. Candidates nominated by a province or territory receive additional CRS points, increasing their chances of receiving an ITA.

It's essential to keep in mind that the Express Entry system and its requirements can change over time. Therefore, it is advisable to consult official government sources for the most accurate and up-to-date information or contact us at,
